Zak Adama is a fictional character on the reimagined series Battlestar Galactica. Zak is the youngest son of William and Carolanne. He has one older brother, Lee Adama.

Zak sought to follow in his father's footsteps and become a Viper pilot. He trained under hot shot pilot and instructor, Kara Thrace. The two became romantically involved and intended to get married. Despite not requesting any special treatment, Kara was unwilling to fail him for basic flight and crush his dreams even though his performance of critical maneuvers warranted a failing grade.

Zak was killed on his first Viper mission two years before the Cylon attack on the colonies. His death brought his father and Kara Thrace closer but caused a chasm of anger between Adama and his son Lee.
