X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a planned 2009 film based on the Marvel Comics character Wolverine. Originally titled "Wolverine" the film stars Hugh Jackman reprising his role from the X-Men film series. Also expected to appear in the film are Liev Schreiber in the role of Sabretooth and Danny Huston as William Stryker. Taylor Kitsch will appear in the film as Gambit.
Plot
Wolverine, a mutant with the ability to regenerate, seeks revenge against Victor Creed (Sabretooth) for the death of his girlfriend. In the process he is recruited for the Weapon X project and his skeleton is coated with the rare indestructible metal, adamantium.
