Willow Danielle Rosenberg is a fictional character on the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer played by Alyson Hannigan. Willow was originally a shy, bookish, and brilliant girl who became close friends with Buffy Summers when she moved to their small town of Sunnydale. Willow and her best friend Xander Harris became Buffy's closest friends and through knowing her discovered a terrifying and exciting world filled with vampires, demons, and magic. Over the show's eight seasons, Willow grew into a confident woman and a witch with enormous supernatural powers.
