Captain William Thomas Riker (2335) is a fictional character in the Star Trek universe played by Jonathan Frakes. He first appeared on Star Trek: The Next Generation when he was assigned to the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) under the command of captain Jean-Luc Picard. Although he was previously offered the opportunity to captain his own vessel, he only accepted the promotion in 2379 and was assigned to the USS Titan.
