William Moore

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

William Moore (aka William L. Moore, aka Bill Moore) is a ufologist.

William L. Moore co-wrote two significant books with Charles Berlitz: The Roswell Incident, the first full-length treatment of that famous case; and The Philadelphia Experiment: Project Invisibility, which popularized that story.

With these two well-known books under his belt, it is understandable how Paul Bennewitz, who was researching UFOs and alien-human contact, would tend to see him as a trustworthy source.

According to Moore himself, that trust was misplaced. Moore claims to have been recruited by what he believed to be government agents to feed disinformation to Bennewitz. Moore has explained his motivation as an effort to learn more about how disinformation works, effectively playing the players. He was promised secret information about UFOs in exchange for his efforts.
