<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Wil Wheaton (b. July 29, 1972) is an American actor best known to Sci Fi fans for his role as Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Though his screen acting career dropped off following his appearance on the series, Wheaton built popularity on the internet with his blog. He also continued performing voice roles on Teen Titans, and the video games Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and EverQuest II.

Wheaton made his screen debut in the 1981 TV movie, A Long Way Home. He made his first sci fi film appearance in The Last Starfighter. He gained his first taste of fame with the Rob Reiner film, Stand by Me which also featured a young Jerry O'Connell. In 1987 he appeared alongside Star trek alum Robert Picardo in The Man Who Fell to Earth. That same year, he made his first appearance in Star Trek: The Next Generation. His character, a child genius, was never popular with fans of the franchise.

Other notable genre appearances include Perversions of Science, Flubber, Deep Core, The Invisible Man, and an appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis.

It's usually best to give a very general overview first, then specific details. When including the plot or essential details of a story in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
