Whit Bissell <span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span> coliroltroc  Whit Bissell (Whitner Bissell) (October 25, 1909 New York City, New York – March 5, 1996) Dependable, although somewhat stuffy American character actor who often turned up as a scientist (either the mad or sane variety) and other authority figures in such movies as Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), I Was a Teenage Frankenstein (1957), Soylent Green (1973), and I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957). On TV he played General Heywood Kirk in Time Tunnel (1966-67).
