Vivica Anjanetta Fox (b. July 30, 1964 Indianapolis, Indiana) is an American actor. Seen as often on television as on the big screen, Fox may be most memorable to genre fans as single mother, Jasmine Dubrow in the hit film Independence Day alongside Will Smith. Fox made her big screen debut in Born on the Fourth of July which starred Tom Cruise. She'd previously appeared on the soaps Days of Our lives, Generations and the sitcom Who's the Boss?. Following her film debut, she returned to television to guest star on several sitcoms and drama series like Beverly Hills 90210 and Matlock. Her most notable roles include the film Soul Food opposite Vanessa Williams, a turn as the Queen of Sheba in the TV version of Solomon, the musical drama, Why Do Fools Dall in Love and the comedic horror film Idle Hands starring Seth Green. In 2000 she starred as Dr. Lillian Price in the short-lived medical drama City of Angels and followed up with Double Take, Kingdom Come, and Boat Trip'.
Fox made her most memorable big screen appearance in several years starring as Vernita Green in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Vol 1. She also appeared with Anne Hathaway and Minnie Driver in the fantasy Ella Enchanted. In 2004, she made a guest appearance on the ABC sypfi series Alias as security expert, Toni Cummings and she also took on the role as FBI Agent Nicole Scott in 1-800-Missing. 2007 saw Fox returning to the screen for a series of dramatic films beginning with Motives 2, Cover, Father of Lies, San Saba, ', Major Movie Star and Caught on Tape.
