Vince Gilligan (b. February 10, 1967 in Richmond, Virginia) is an American writer, producer and director known for his work on The X-Files as a writer, creative consultant, executive producer, and director. Gilligan is also the co-creator of the X-Files spinoff The Lone Gunmen for which he also wrote and produced several episodes. He also served as a consulting producer of the series Harsh Realm and an executive producer of A.M.P.E.D..
