Vibranium is fictional metal substance that exists in the Marvel Comics universe.

Vibranium is an extremely rare substance that occurs in nature. There are two kinds of vibranium. The first is found in Wakanda, home of the Black Panther. This kind absorbs vibrations. This means that the force that strikes it is absorbed into it, and not felt by the person on the other side of it.

It is said that Captain America's shield contains some of this vibranium and adamantium as well.

The other kind is sometimes called anti-metal. It emits a strange vibration that melts other metal. It is found somewhere in the arctic.
