Vampira

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Vampira (Maila Nurmi) (b. December 21, 1921January 10, 2008) Finnish-born actress whose vampire-like persona was inspired by Charles Addams' Morticia and in turn inspired Elvira and countless imitations. She was TV's first horror host on Los Angeles' KABC-TV (1954-1955). After appearing as a nonspeaking ghoul in Edward D. Wood Jr.'s infamous Plan 9 from Outer Space (1956), she had cameos in Wood’s follow-up, Night of the Ghouls (1959), Sex Kittens Go to College (aka Beauty and the Robot, 1960) and The Magic Sword (1962). Lisa Marie portrayed her in Ed Wood (1994).

It's usually best to give a very general overview first, then specific details. When including the plot or essential details of a story in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
