Vaitiare Bandera, born Vaitiare Eugenie Hirshon is an actress born in Tahiti, French Polynesia on August 15, 1964. She is well known to Stargate SG-1 fans in the role of Sha're/Amonet. She took over the role of Sha'uri played in the Stargate film by Mili Avital. She has also guest starred on several episodes of Pacific Blue and the series Acapulco Heat, Married with Children, and Murder She Wrote. She has a daughter, Tatiana, with Stargate SG-1 actor, Michael Shanks who played her husband on the series. She is currently married to Edgars Asars and the couple has a son, Kenta. Both are involved with the fashion industry.
