The USS Griffin-B is a Star Trek role playing simulation using the IRC format belonging to the Organization called, the United Confederation of Interstellar Planets, or UCIP.
The Griffin is a modified Sovereign Class start ship built especially for the purpose of lone combat operations in deep space or as yet unexplored space.
To accomodate this the Griffin has better weaponry, better armor but not the scientific research capabilities of a normal sovereign class starship.
The Griffin also houses an independent unit of Starfleet Marines, fully self sufficient with their own land transport, and close ground support aircraft.
It is the combination of these 2 unique aspects that makes the Griffin a ship not to be trifled with and the dedicated men and woman of the USS Griffin spend their lives defending space from attacks of all shapes and sizes.
