Tru Calling was a 2003 Fox TV series. The series premiered on October 30, 2003, and ran for one full season. A second season began airing in 2005 but was canceled after only a few episodes. The final filmed episode never aired on US TV.

Premise

Eliza Dushku starred as Tru Davies, a medical student who takes a night job at the city morgue. She soon finds herself in an eerie situation when a recently arrived corpse awakens and asks for her help and her day immediately resets. It is the beginning of a new life for her as such situations become a regular part of her life. Her goal is to find out how and why a person has died and do her best to resolve the situation, preventing their ultimate death. She is aided by her irresponsible brother, Harrison who has a gambling problem, and the shy morgue supervisor, Davis.
