Trinium is a fictional metal used in the series Stargate SG-1. Brittle in its raw form, once refined, it is one hundred times stronger and lighter than steel. Following the destruction of Earth's first iris, a trinium-titanium composite was used to create a new shield for the stargate. The metal is also used in the composition of the hulls of Earth ships including Prometheus and Daedalus.

Other advanced races including the Asgard and the Tollan also use Trinium in the creation of their technologies.
