Trigon is a fictional super villain and superhero character owned by DC Comics. He is a demonic character from another dimension. He is most often associated with the superhero team, the Teen Titans. It was Trigon’s half human daughter, Raven, who brought the Teen Titans together (in the 1981 relaunch called The New Teen Titans) in hope that they could help stop her father from conquering Earth.
Trigon is a being of incredible power. He can fire energy, transmute matter, change his own size, create hordes of demons, travel between dimensions, grant power to others, all seemingly effortlessly. At birth, Trigon killed everyone around him. At the age of six, he destroyed an entire planet. And by the age of thirty, he held dominion over millions of worlds in his dimension.
Trigon, in disguise, managed to mate with Arella, a depressed woman who joined a satanic cult called the Church of Blood. After she discovered Trigon’s true nature, she was taken in by the Cult of Azareth, located between dimensions, who knew and feared Trigon. They helped her raise her daughter, Raven, to suppress her emotions to control her demonic nature.
Trigon has since destroyed Azareth, and attempted to take control of Raven and conquer our dimension at least twice. He has been thwarted by the Teen Titans team of the 1980s, sometimes just called the New Titans or the Titans.
