Thomas Eugene Paris is a fictional character in the series Star Trek: Voyager played by Robert Duncan McNeill. Tom is a starfleet officer and son of Admiral Owen Paris. He was dismissed from Starfleet following the deaths of three fellow officers at Caldik Prime due to a piloting error on his part. He late rjoined the Maquis but was quickly captured and sent to the Federation Penal Settlement in New Zealand. He was offered an opportunity to redeem himself by Captain Kathryn Janeway who asked him to help track down members of the Maquis hiding the badlands.
