Tom McBeath (Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian stage, film, and television actor who may be remembered by Stargate SG-1 fans as Col. Harold Maybourne. McBeath made his television debut in the 1984 movie Glitter Dome and his film debut in 1985 in Certain Fury. He made his genre debut several years later, lending his voice to the the short-lived series Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures.
McBeath worked as a computer programmer in the late 60s in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He joined a amateur theatre group in 1970 and after several years working in theatre considered acting as a career. He attended the University of Alberta and alter the Playhouse Acting School in Vancouver. McBeath has appeared in several Shakespeare productions and also productions of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and Death of a Salesman.
