Tom Conway

Tom Conway (Thomas Sanders) (September 15, 1904April 22, 1967) Urbane, Russian-born British leading man, the brother of actor George Sanders (1906-1972). He played the Falcon’s brother on screen for RKO from 1942-46 and brought style to three of Val Lewton’s best pictures: Cat People (1942), I Walked With a Zombie (1943) and The Seventh Victim (1943). His career declined during the 1950s, although he continued to appear in such films as Bride of the Gorilla (1951) and Voodoo Woman (1957), and after years of ill-health he died nearly destitute.
