Tollana

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Tollana is a fictional planet in the series Stargate SG-1. It is the second homeworld of The Tollan people.

Spoiler Warning: Plot details and/or information about the ending follow. If you wish to enjoy the work first, stop reading here and return at another time.

Their original homeworld was destroyed by volcanic activity that resulted when a neighboring planet Serita self destructed. Because Serita's destruction was a result of the Tollan sharing technology with a planet not mature enough, the Tollan are extremely reluctant to share their advanced technology with less advanced cultures.

Tollana was settled by ship and there was no stargate on the planet. The Tollan were introduced by SG-1 to The Nox and they built a gate with their help. The gate allowed for a relationship between Tollana and Stargate Command although the Tollan stuck to their decision not to share technology with Earth.

Tollana was protected by a network of Ion Cannons. The leader of the Tollan Curia, High Chancellor Travell, made a deal with the goa'uld, Tanith, to build weapons incorporating Tollan phase shifting technology. Tanith was working for Anubis who had recently upgraded his shields using Ancient technology making the ion cannons useless. The Tollan were ultimately attacked by the goa'uld and without their ion cannons to fight back, the civilization was wiped out. The stargate and fleeing ships were also destroyed.
