Titan A.E. is a 2000 animated film, produced by 20th Century Fox. The film featured the voices of several popular actors including Matt Damon and Drew Barrymore. Despite the star cast, the film proved unpopular and did not recoup its $75 million budget, making only $36 million worldwide.

Matt Damon voiced the role of Cale Tucker, one of only a few remaining humans after Earth (hence the A. E. in the title) is destroyed by a race of aliens made of pure energy known as the Drej. The few humans are nomads, wandering the space and looked down upon by other races. Cale is sought out by human captain Joseph Korso who believe Cale can find the long lost vessel on which his father disappeared, The Titan. The Titan contains a mechanism that can create a new home planet for human kind. Only Cale has a genetically encoded map that can help mankind find its new home.
