Time Enough for Love was written by Robert A. Heinlein and published by G. P. Putnam's Sons in 1973. Lazarus Long, the main protagonist and Heinlein's alter ego, is so in love with life that he refuses to die. Born in 1916, he lives through multiple centuries. Time Enough for Love tells of Long's journey, lovingly detailed, through a vast and magnificent timescape of centuries and worlds. Using the voice of Long, Heinlein expounds his own philosophies, including his radical (for the time) ideas on sexual freedom. Time Enough for Love is the capstone and crowning achievement of Heinlein's Future History book series.

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
