Tim Sale ((b. 1956 in Ithaca, New York) is an Eisner award-winning American comic book artist. Sale grew up in Seattle, Washington and attended the University of Washington for two years before moving to New York to attend the John Buscema Workshop and The School of Visual Arts. Sale eventually quit school and returned to Seattle and settled into odd jobs while continuing to work on his art.

Sale partnered with his sister Maggie in Grey Archer Press. He finally returned to comics, inking for Phil Foglio on Warp Graphics' Myth Adventures in 1983. He worked for Donning/Starblaze in 1985, penciling inking and lettering Thieves World . He launched his mainstream comics career after meeting Matt Wagner, Dinac Schutz and Barbara Randall at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Fans of the series Heroes may be familiar with Sale's work on the Heroes Webcomic available on the official NBC heroes site.

Sale lives in Southern California with his dogs Hotspur and Shelby.
