Plot

Moya's crew are discussing whether they should leave her and go their separate ways. Moya's pregnancy renders her unable to star burst on demand, leaving them all vulnerable to capture. Crichton and Aeryn are in favor of staying but the others are seriously considering abandoning Moya. Pilot and Moya interrupt to inform them that moya desires them to stay and is sorry for her inability to serve them as needed. To show her willingness to help, she immediately begins to Star burst.

They exit star burst roughly. Moya is hurt and in pain and communications and several other systems are down. The crew tries to assess the damage but Rygel is missing and D'Argo and Aeryn disappear. Chiana wants to get off the ship but Crichton advises her to stay and try to help, particularly since pilot can't open the doors for the transport pod anyway.

Pilot locates Aeryn and Rygel and Crichton goes to find her. he can't find her and a nearby table begins to vibrate. He disappears as well, shifting into a red tinged dimension where he is disoriented and becomes sick.

D'Argo sees Crichton but is unable to grab his attention. Crichton tries to climb up unto a table and disappears again. He reemerges and finds Aeryn in a blue tinged version of Moya. A very loud alarm is going off. He tries to communicate via charades with Aeryn. They split up to search for the others and Crichton witnesses a strange phenomenon. Strange crack's appear in midair.

They continue to search. Crichton attempts to pick up his recorder and he is pulled into yet another rift. He finds Rygel in a yellow tinged version of Moya. Rygel is laughing hysterically. Crichton tries to explain but soon falls victims to hysterics as well. They both witness yet another crack. Rygel writes it off as a delusion.

Chrichton hears a strange clicking noise and investigates. He disappears once again and reappears on Moya and reunites with Zhaan, Chiana and Pilot. Pilot explains that star burst is the seam between space time dimensions. Moya's power cells allows them to access it and she rides out the energy stream until they're pushed out at random. In her haste to Star burst, Moya entered star burst without adequate thrust and she was unable to exit. Moya has been split into four different variations.

Crichton goes to work with pilot with the intention of finding Aeryn, D'argo and Rygel and return them to the original Moya. Crichton, Zhaan and Crichton go to find the others and witness the strange phenomenon again. It appears to be sentient.

Crichton and Chiana moved into the red dimension and find D'Argo. Chiana is unaffected by the disorienting light Chiana admits her fear is partly due to a mistake her people once made in creating a dimensional weapon. It ultimately destroyed an entire system. Crichton explains that they need to start Moya's engines in each dimension as pilot explained to him. They all witness the dimensional creature again and they fire. It disappears.

D'Argo decides to stay and start the engines in the red dimension and Crichton and Chiana move into the blue where Chiana is immediately disabled by the overwhelming sound. Crichton carries her to the nearest rift and pushes her through. The dimensional creature appears again and Aeryn shoots at it.

Aeryn modifies two headsets to block out the noise so that she and Crichton can communicate. She stays behind to turn on the engines in the yellow dimension and place them in full reverse. Crichton goes to find Rygel in the yellow dimension. Crichton makes the engine adjustments and leave Rygel and Chiana behind and returns to the original Moya where he's met by Zhaan.

The situation is getting worse. Moya is still unable to leave. the dimensional creature manifests again but Crichton suggests they not shoot it. He recognizes a prime number pattern to the scratches the creature has made in the ship's hull. The creature is attempting to communicate.

Crichton accepts the creature's invitation and enters the rift it has created. The creature tells john that her job is to repair dimensional rifts. A rift has never been caused by a living creature before. She adds the only way through is to go forward and she will attempt to guide them through.

Crichton asks for 500 microts to visit the other Moyas and get them to set their engines to thrust forward. He first informs D'Argo and he begins a 300 microt countdown. He contacts Aeryn and gives her 150microt countdown to begin full forward thrust. Parts of the ship are beginning to disappear but he manages to find a rift into the yellow Moya. He activates the forward thrust and Moya begins to reintegrate. She star bursts successfully and exits the rift. The crew all begin to laugh hysterically, happy to be alive.

They all enjoy a joyful meal together and Pilot reveals that Moya will soon give birth.
