Thorley Walters (May 12, 1913 – July 6, 1991) Bumbling British actor who gave solid support in a number of Hammer horrors, notably as the Count’s crazed servant “Ludwig” in Dracula Prince of Darkness (1965) and the Baron’s compassionate assistant “Dr. Hertz” in Frankenstein Created Woman (1966). His other credits include The Phantom of the Opera (1962), The Earth Dies Screaming (1964), The Psychopath (1964), Twisted Nerve (1968), Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed (1969), The Man Who Haunted Himself (1970), Trog (1970), Vampire Circus (1972) and The People That Time Forgot (1977). He also portrayed Dr. Watson in Sherlock Holmes and the Deadly Necklace (1962), Sherlock Homes’ Smarter Brother (1975) and Three Tales Dark and Dangerous (1980).
