The Zeta Project was 2001 animated series that aired on The WB Network in its Kids WB lineup. The series was a spinoff of the Batman Beyond series. The Zeta Project premiered on January 27, 2001 and came to an end on August 10, 2002 after its second season.

Premise

The series concerned a technologically advanced government designed robot, Zeta, intended to be used as an assassin capable of killing and replacing its targets using a holographic projection as its disguise. The robot's artificial intelligence developed an aversion to the government's intentions and escaped custody so as not to be forced to kill anyone. While on the run he meets a teenaged runaway Ro Rowen and the two set out to find Zeta's creator Dr. Selig, hoping he can help prove Zeta's sentience so that he can win his freedom.
