The Wicker Man is a 2006 remake of the 1973 film of the same name. The remake is directed by Neil LaBute and stars Nicolas Cage as police officer Edward Malus. After a tragic accident, Malus receives a letter from former fiancee Willow (Kate Beahan) informing him that her daughter, Rowan (Erika-Shaye Gair) is missing. Malus visits her home on a private island but his investigation into Rowan's absence is hindered by the locals who are pagans. He comes to believe Rowan is alive and about to be sacrificed but when he finds her he also discovers are darker truth about the wicker man.
