The WB Network

The WB Network was a broadcast television network co-owned by Warner Bros. and Tribune Co. The network gave rise to such speculative fiction TV series as Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Charmed, Smallville, Angel and Supernatural.

Warner Bros. shuttered the network in 2006 and joined with CBS to launchThe CW Network. The new network included science fiction series, Smallville and Supernatural at its launch.
