Plot
SG-1 visits a planet where they learn that a village has been approached by a Prior. They are surprised to hear the Prior has not threatened any consequences for not accepting Origin, choosing only to share the benefits of the religion. When the prior returns, they are stunned to discover it is Daniel Jackson and he has been transformed into a Prior.
They decide to capture Daniel while he is teaching, zatting him and using the Odyssey's transporters to beam him aboard where an anti-prior device and physical restraints inhibit his powers. Daniel reveals he isn't truly under Ori control, though he has managed to convince Adria that he is. He has nearly completed Merlin's device but was stopped before taking the final step by Adria. He believes she may have done so out of fear that the ascended Ancients may not permit it.
Daniel has a plan to pilot an Ori ship through the supergate and deliver the weapon into the Ori galaxy and informs SG-1 and Landry of it. The plan involves getting SG-1 to shut down the supergate connected to the Pegasus Galaxy with a Mark IX gate buster. This would, potentially, allow more Ori vessels to make their way into the galaxy. Neither SG-1, the SGC, nor the president are sure whether to believe him as it could merely be a plot to benefit the Ori, with whom Daniel may truly be working.
Daniel assures them that his plan is the only way and they must act soon as Adria will grow suspicious when he hasn't returned and Merlin has altered his physiology so that it will revert to normal soon and he will lose Merlin's knowledge and the abilities that come with being a prior. Teal'c believes Daniel but Richard Woolsey informs them the IOA is against the idea and they have determined that Daniel must be killed immediately.
Woolsey informs Daniel that he is to be placed in stasis in Antarctica but Daniel overcomes the Anti-prior device and sends Woolsey back. He beams O'Neill aboard and heads for the Supergate. Meanwhile, SG-1 has made their way to an Ori vessel and transport themselves on board where Vala, as per Daniel's instructions, completes the device. Carter manges to set the ship on a course for the Supergate. Shortly after exiting hyperspace, Vala and Mitchell are accosted by Ori guards. Carter also finds herself confronting Adria.
The Odyssey also arrives and immediately cloaks, thanks to the ZPM on board and Daniel's adjustments. Daniel transports to the Ori vessel to meet with Carter and Teal'c. He is confronted by Adria and uses his powers to knock her unconscious. She is unable to use her own powers thanks to the anti-prior device he brought with him. The rest of the team takes out the guards.
Daniel is weakened and asks his teammates to arm Merlin's device as he takes the command chair. He communicates with O'Neill on the Odyssey to inform the Daedalus in Pegasus to destroy the Pegasus gate. They do so and the gate shuts down. Daniel makes a new connection to the Ori Galaxy. He directs the Ori vessel into the supergate and O'Neill beams them aboard the Odyssey. Daniel reverts to his normal self and falls unconscious.
Later, Daniel awakens in the Odyssey's infirmary. They all wonder if Merlin's device was successful. There is no way to be certain. The Supergate is activated and six Ori ships come through.
