The Seeds of Doom is the title of the finale of the 13th Season of long-running program Doctor Who. It first ran in the UK as a six episode serial whose first episode debuted on January 31, 1976.

Synopsis

When a mysterious seed pod is discovered in the antarctic permafrost, the Doctor becomes suspicious about the pod's origins. But, he arrives too late, the pod has already infected one of the research scientists. Moreover, if the Doctor's suspicions are correct, things are about to get worse.... much worse.

Trivia

This story marks the final appearance of UNIT on the program in the 1970s. However, all of the UNIT staff in this story are previously unseen characters. None of the familiar UNIT characters actually appear.
