The Road is a 2008 post-apocalyptic thriller based on Cormac McCarthy's novel of the same name. Viggo Mortensen plays a father trying to get his son to safety on the coast in a devastated America. With only a pistol to defend themselves from the dangers on the road, and the clothes on their backs, the two must scavenge for what they need to survive, and hope that at the end of the road lies something better.
