Plot

While testing the intergalactic gate bridge, McKay discovers an Ancient vessel, Tria, traveling close to the speed of light. They manage to stop them and the Ancients return to Atlantis to claim their city, evicting the Atlantis expedition in the process. The expedition leaders are extremely disappointed, Dr. Weir in particular. Unlike the others, she has not been reassigned.

When a desperate message from Atlantis comes in to Stargate command from Richard Woolsey and Jack O'Neill claiming they're under attack by the Replicators, the SGC and the IOA fear there's nothing they can do. Sheppard however, is determined to return to Pegasus, and rescue the city from the Replicators. He gets Weir, McKay and Beckett together and using the gate bridge returns to Pegasus to pick up Teyla and Ronon to take back Atlantis.
