The Mutant Chronicles is a 2008 action adventure film directed by Simon Hunter, written by Philip Eisner and Ross Jameson, and presented by Edward R. Pressman.

Synopsis

In the 23rd Century when Earth's natural resources have been exhausted, a war is being fought between soldiers belonging to four leading corporations: the Capitol, Bauhaus, Mishima, and Imperial. Mitch Hunter (Thomas Jane) and Nathan Rooker (Sean Pertwee) are soldiers for Capitol battling against Bauhaus. When a shell destroys an ancient stone seal, they find themselves facing off against yet another enemy, necromutants. Mitch manages to escape the horrific monsters but Nathan is unable to do so.

The Mutants grow in number and the Corporations' leader, Constantine (John Malkovich), fearing all is lost, plans to abandon the planet and leave the remaining humans to the mutant beasts. He is approached by the leader of a monastic order, Brother Samuel (Ron Perlman), who claims the coming of the mutants was prophesied in the Chronicles, of which he is the keeper. Samuel believes he is the "Deliverer" mentioned in the chronicles who will end the mutants' reign on Earth. To do so, he must travel deep within the Earth to destroy the source of the creatures. To complete the task, he recruits Mitch and several other soldiers, Bahaus officer, Steiner (Benno Fürmann), Valerie Duval (Devon Aoki), El Jesus (Luis Miguel), and Juba (Tom Wu).
