The Lakehouse is a 2006 romantic fantasy directed by Alejandro Agresti. The movie is a remake of the South Korean film Siworae, written by Eun-Jeong Kim and Ji-na Yeo. Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock star as an architect Alex Wyler, and a doctor Kate Forster who strike up a correspondence via a mailbox at the lake house built by Wyler's father. They soon realize that they are living two years apart and their letters to each other are bridging time.
