The Invaders was a fictional comic book super-hero team published by Marvel Comics.

The Invaders, while created by Roy Thomas and Sal Buscema in the 1970s, took place during World War II. The team consisted of the characters that were popular in the 1940s that were featured under the Timely Comics label. So, while created during the 1970s, it consisted of heroes from the Golden Age of Comics. The original members were Captain America, Sub-Mariner, the original Human Torch, and teen sidekicks Bucky and Toro. This team fought together for some time before new members were added. Later they were joined by the British Spitfire and Union Jack. After that, they added Miss America (Madeline Joyce) and the Whizzer (Bob Frank). Finally, the team added the Blazing Skull and the Silver Scorpion to its roster.

Thanks to a mysterious time traveling mist, the Avengers/Invaders 12 issue limited series (2008) brings the original Invaders team into the present, where they meet the modern Avengers teams.
