The Incredibles is a 2004 Pixar animated film, written and directed by Brad Bird. The film features the voices of Craig T. Nelson and Holly Hunter as Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible and Helen Parr/Elastigirl, the parents of Violet, Dash, and Jack Jack. Once celebrated superheroes, the super powered family is living as normal a life as they can since the use of their powers have been outlawed due to liability issues. But Bob yearns for the excitement of playing a hero once again and jumps at the possibility when a secret government organization asks him to join them. He discovers that the clandestine operation is actually a trap designed by the villain Syndrome, once a former fan, now a crazed genius determined to destroy Incredible and his family and take his own place as a much loved hero, even if he must invent disasters of his own. Helen and her superfast son and invisible daughter must rescue Bob and together the family must stop Syndrome.
