The Incredible Hulk is a 1978 television series loosely based on the comic book character, Hulk, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Bill Bixby starred as Dr. Bruce Banner a scientist conducting research into unusual situations in which humans gain superhuman strength during emotional distress. He exposes his body to gamma radiation to test his theory that such situations were the result of gamma radiation from sun spots. He is accidentally exposed to a higher dose than intended and later discovers that when he becomes enraged, he transforms into a green monster prone to acts of rampant destruction.

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
