The Incredible Hulk is a 2008 fantasy action film from Marvel Studios, based on the Hulk comics character created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee. The film is directed by Louis Leterrier and written by Edward Norton who also stars as Bruce Banner. motion capture technology allows Norton to also play the role of his CGI counterpart, Hulk. Liv Tyler takes on the role of Betty Ross, a role previously portrayed by Jennifer Connelly in the 2003 film adaptation of the comics character. In this adaptation, Banner is on the run hoping to find a cure for the condition which causes him to transform into the giant green monster known as Hulk when he becomes angry. He is pursued by the military who hope to find a way to take advantage of his abilities, and a horrible beast with similarly deadly powers known as The Abomination.
The film earned mixed reviews from critics but opened to a respectable 55 million weekend gross. It broke the $100 million dollar mark in its third weekend in theaters.
