The Hitchhiker is an anthology television series that first aired on HBO in 1983 and continued airing on the USA Network beginning in 1989 and ending in 1991. The series was an American/Canadian/French/ production initially produced by Corazon Productions and later Atlantique & Quintina Productions. The series' title character was played by Page Fletcher. The show also featured several notable guest stars including Kirstie Allie, Margot Kidder, Rober Carradine, Laus Kinski, Bill Paxton and Tom Skerritt
