Synopsis

Immortal Scottish warrior Circenn Brodie has been entrusted with the care of a flask by the Tuatha de Danaan. He places a curse on the flask that brings anyone who touches it to him. Mischievous Adam Black forces him to promise that he will kill the person who bears the flask. The task turns out to be a bit difficult when hard working Lisa Stone, comes across the flask while cleaning a museum. After touching it, she's thrown back in time, right into Brodie's chamber.

Brodie must navigate between the promise he made to Adam and the one he made to his mother never to harm a woman, in order to make the right decision. Brodie's attempt to protect Lisa and the Templars in his group results in an engagement announcement by Robert the Bruce. Further complicating matters is the fact that Brodie is immortal. Over the last 500 years he's made rules to protect himself from heartbreak but he might not be able or willing to give up his accidental fiancee.
