The Grudge is a 2004 American remake of the Japanese Takashi Shimizu film, Ju-On. The Grudge was filmed in Japan with an American cast that included Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jason Behr, and opened on October 22, 2004 in U.S. theaters. The film has so far spawned one sequel, The Grudge 2.
