The Escape of R.D.7. is a 5-episode British television serial. The series was written by Thomas Clarke and directed and produced by James Ormerod.

Premise

Virologist, Dr. Anna Hastings creates a virus she believes will wipe out rats. When he lab assistant is bitten by one of her infected lab rats however, he becomes ill and she is ordered to stop her work. She continues her work from a remote boathouse but when she is also infected she asks for help from shady Patrice Constantine. Hastings soon realizes her work may have caused an epidemic.
