The Devil's Advocate is a 1990 novel by Andrew Neiderman. The novel was the inspiration for the 1997 film The Devil's Advocate which starred Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino. The novel focuses on lawyer, Kevin Taylor, who is recruited by Manhattan criminal law firm, John Milton and Associates. The firm showers Kevin and his wife in luxuries but Kevin is unaware of the price of the job. He is assigned to a notorious high profile case and slowly begins to realize the evil nature of the firm.
