The Deadly Assassin is a story from the 14th season of long-running series Doctor Who. It was first transmitted in Britain as a four episode serial beginning on October 30, 1976.

Synopsis

Summoned home to Gallifrey and plagued by visions of the assassination of the Lord President of the Time Lords, the Doctor sets a course for his home planet. When he arrives, however, he quickly finds himself framed for the assassination he had forseen and due for a hasty execution. Can the Doctor outwit a whole planet full of his fellow Time Lords long enough to find the real killer?
