The Dark Tower is an epic, seven-volume fantasy saga. This magnum opus from writer Stephen King began with a collection of short stories published in 1982 (but written in part much earlier), and expanded over the next 25 years. King chronicles the epic quest of gunslinger Roland to find the Dark Tower and save his universe from falling into chaos. Over the course of the tale, King manages to weave in threads and characters from many of his other books, making the Dark Tower series act as an over-arching unification of almost the entirety of his output.
