(Redirected from The 4400 Center)

The 4400 Center is a fictional location on the series The 4400. The Center is located at 6265 Crescent Road, Seattle, Washington. The real-life building representing the center is the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia.

Spoiler Warning: Plot details and/or information about the ending follow. If you wish to enjoy the work first, stop reading here and return at another time.

The Centre was founded by business mogul Jordan Collier. He intended the center as a place where 4400s could learn to use their abilities and non 4400 could seek out abilities hidden within themselves. The Center became something of a religious center under Collier's guidance and bore some similarities to Scientology.

Following Collier's death, leadership of the center was taken over by Shawn Farrell who had been mentored by Jordan. Shawn objected to many of Jordan's methods including the special treatment given to celebrities. After his death, Matthew Ross, a business associate of Collier arrived to help guide Shawn. After the misstep in providing funding for the Nova Group, Shawn was encouraged by Ross to accept Richard Tyler as co-leader of the center.

Following Collier's return, and seizure of promicin formerly in the possession of Haspel Corp, Isabelle Tyler attacked the center, hoping to force a conflict with Jordan Collier. She killed several people before eventually being subdued. The Center was then infiltrated by the government.

Due to difficulties 4400 children had adjusting to regular schools, the center opened up its own school and recruited 4400 teacher Heather Tobey who had a talent for inspiring her students. The Center also sought out Alana Mareva, who despite Tom's reservations also taught at the center. Students have included Maia Skouris, Tyler Downing, Amy Papsalis, Todd Barstow and Michael Lawrence
