The 1978 Annual World’s Best SF, sometimes called Donald A. Wollheim Presents The 1978 Annual World’s Best SF, is the seventh book in The Annual World's Best SF anthology series from DAW Books. It was edited by Donald A. Wollheim with Arthur W. Saha in 1978, and it presents what Wollheim regarded as the ten best short stories and novellas from the year 1977. It includes a cover painting by Jack Gaughan, and an introduction from Wollheim in which he discusses how the line separating fantasy from science fiction has become blurred. This book was first published in May of 1978.
