The 1977 Annual World’s Best SF, sometimes called Donald A. Wollheim Presents The 1977 Annual World’s Best SF, and also published under the title Wollheim’s World’s Best SF Series Six, is the sixth book in The Annual World's Best SF anthology series from DAW Books. It was edited by Donald A. Wollheim with Arthur W. Saha, and first printed in May of 1977. It presents what Wollheim regarded as the ten best short stories and novellas from the year 1976, and it includes a cover painting by Bernal. Wollheim also provides a brief introduction in which he notes that many publishers were then getting into the SF field, but that this did not necessarily mean that the genre was getting more popular.
