The 1974 Annual World’s Best SF, sometimes called Donald A. Wollheim Presents The 1974 Annual World’s Best SF, and also published under the title Wollheim’s World’s Best SF Series Three, is the third book in The Annual World's Best SF anthology series from DAW Books. It was edited by Donald A. Wollheim with Arthur W. Saha in 1974, and it presents what Wollheim regarded as the ten best short stories and novellas from the year 1973. It was first published in May of 1974, and it includes a cover painting by Jack Gaughan, and an introduction by Wollheim in which he discusses academic attitudes to science fiction, the condition of the SF magazine business, and some recent attempts to write histories of the genre.
