Season 1
- Two years after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Sarah is anxious to move on to avoid complacency. At their new town, John meets a new girl who is only the first sign that their battles against robots from the future has begun again.
- Sarah contacts an old friend to get new aliases for herself and John. FBI agent, James Ellison investigates the murders of several men and ties evidence to the murder of a doctor.
- Sarah visits Miles Dyson's widow to discover who had the ability to recreate Skynet. Tarissa leads her to former intern, Andy Goode, who she learns is building an intelligent computer. John and Cameron attend school and try to keep a low profile.
- Determined not to simply sit and be protected, John goes off on his own during an investigation of stolen cargo. Ellison's investigation lead him to an unexpected suspect.
- Sarah learns Andy has rebuilt the Turk and has entered it into a chess competition. Their concerns seem unfounded but a murder and a theft at the competition proves that their concerns may be valid. Ellison discovers evidence of a robot.
- Determined to save Derek's life, John brings Charlie in to help. Derek drifts in and out of consciousness and reflects on how he came to the past. Sarah explains what happened to her.
- Sarah breaks into Ellison's apartment and discovers her own file from the mental hospital. John discovers how his mother escaped the mental hospital. Cameron signs up for ballet.
- Derek discovers the chip Cameron withheld and uses it to hack into the traffic system. They discover the new traffic system may be integral to skynet and hope to crash it. Cromartie continues to search schools for John.
- Cromartie closes in on John. Sarah's dealings with Sarkissian proves disastrous.
